Frequently asked questions
Is the IELTS essay checker really free?
Yes. A free account includes 5 graded Writing practices and one full Writing mock test, with no card needed. Pro removes the limit and lets you choose the question type.
Which questions do I answer?
Our own Task 1 and Task 2 practice questions, written in the style of the test. On the free plan the app picks the question for you. Pro lets you choose the question type, such as opinion essays, bar charts or formal letters.
What feedback do I get?
A practice Band estimate plus a criterion-by-criterion breakdown — Task Achievement/Response, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range & Accuracy — with the specific evidence in your essay that affected each score.
Is the AI band score the same as my real IELTS band?
No tool can guarantee your exam band. The estimate is a directional coaching signal modelled on the public band descriptors — use it to see what is holding your score back, not as a prediction.
Do you store or share my essay?
Your essays are tied to your account so you can track progress; they are not sold or shared. See our Privacy Policy for details.
